Music:
May 12 – June 4, 2011 “The Prague Spring International Festival” will
celebrate Mahler and a top lineup of symphony orchestras and conductors.
Art:
June 20 – December 31, 2011. The Czech Republic will celebrate the “Rozmberk
Year” which is the 400th Anniversary of “Lords of the Rose” a prominent
Rozmberk aristocratic family. It will be featured in the Regional Museum in
Cesky Krumiov.
Cinema:
The Annual” International Karlovy Vary Film Festival” can be appreciated in
the well-known spa town Karlovy Vary from July 01 -09, 2011.
Wine:
The “Palava Wine Festival” takes place September 9 – 11 in the South
Moravian town of Mikulov. The “Palava Wine Harvest and Festival” has been
celebrated for two centuries with parades and folk events.
Music Advents and Christmas Market:
November 27 – January 2, 2012
. The “Prague Christmas Market” fills the Old Town Square and Wenceslas
Square with shopping stalls, traditional food, music and mulled wine. Also,
in churches and castles throughout the Czech Republic.
