Berlin. June 26, 2011
The FIFA Women’s World Cup (football) with Germany
facing Canada opens in Berlin.
The United States team will go against South Korea in
Dresden on June 28; they then face a tough Columbia team on July 2nd in
Sinsheim. Their third game will be against Sweden on July 6 in Wolfsburg.
The Quarter Finals begin on July 9, 2011 for Groups A &
B in Wolfsburg and on July 10 for Group C (U.S.) & D in Augsburg.
The “3/4 Place” match will be played in Sinsheim on July
16 with the final the following day in Frankfurt. The nine host cities are:
Berlin, Frankfurt, Moenchengladbach, Sinsheim, Wolfsburg, Augsburg, Bochum,
Dresden and Leverkusen.
It will be party time all across Germany… Reserve your

The 36th Annual "Jazz Festival" takes place in Bern from March 11 -21, 2011.
The opening event is in the Theater National Bern with a concluding Gala
Night in the Stadttheater.

July 14 -17 "Gurten Music Festival" takes place at the top of the Gurten
only accessible by funicular. Over 60 live acts from Pop, Rock, Punk,
Electro, Soul, Blues, Country etc. It's a 4-day music blast not to be missed

Franz Liszt Festivals June 18 – July 9, 2011
The 200th Anniversary of Franz Liszt will be celebrated
in Dresden and several other towns. “Liszt Under Water” June 28 – Jul 1 at
the Toskana Thermal Baths in Bad Sulza and “Sky Over Liszt” from June 18 –
July 3 at the Jena-Zeilss Planetarium.
